Translations
CAFE follows the WordPress language, like core does:
- The site language (Settings → General → Site Language) decides the language of CAFE's screens and messages.
- A user's own Language in their profile takes priority for that user.
- English sites and users see English; Dutch (
nl_NL) sites see Dutch.
Everything is translated: the admin menu, the React screens (field builder, Settings Pages, Tools, Settings), the field boxes on edit screens, validation messages and import/export reports. Texts you type yourself (group titles, field labels, instructions) are shown exactly as you wrote them.
Included languages
The WordPress.org package has no bundled translations: translate.wordpress.org delivers them as language packs. The client package (dist/cybo-advanced-field-engine.zip) includes the languages below.
| Language | Used for |
|---|---|
| English | every locale without a folder |
| Dutch (Nederlands) | nl_NL, nl_BE and every other Dutch locale |
| German (Deutsch) | de_DE, de_AT, de_CH … (informal "du", as WordPress de_DE) |
| French (Français) | fr_FR, fr_BE, fr_CA … (plural rule: 0 and 1 are singular) |
| Swedish (Svenska) | sv_SE |
Every language translates every string, and follows the terms WordPress uses in that language (Posts / Beiträge / Articles / Inlägg …).
